It is not a secret that funerals, wills, and last wishes are not the most pleasant of topics out there. But today we are going to discuss some of those obnoxious celebrity wills. Read on to find out some of the weirdest celebrity wills.
Oprah Winfrey
Orpah Winfrey, is an American media proprietor, talk show host, actress, producer. She is best known for her talk show The Oprah Winfrey Show, which was the highest-rated television program of its kind in history. Being ranked the richest African-American, she is also known as one of the wealthiest ladies on the planet. But she has strange plans for her fortune. Her beloved dogs are those who will inherit $30 million dollars after her death! The rest of her fortune will go to charities.
What will the dog do with 30 million bucks? Maybe they will villas? Some celebrity wills are really weird, aren’t they?
Tupac Shakur
Tupac Amaru Shakur has sold over 75 million records worldwide. Many publications consider him to be one of the greatest artists and most influential rappers of all time. Some of Tupac Shakur’s fans are not happy with his so-called funerals. We all know that he died due to the gunshot wounds after almost surviving the bullets pumped into his chest. In reality, Tupac never had funerals. After his cremation, his crew, the Outlawz, mixed his ashes with weed and smoked him. Sounds so weird, but they did it to honor his last wishes as expressed in his track ‘Black Jesus. They say that was his request. We hope he was serious about it. Even if we have some doubts the Outlawz took it seriously as they told the Huffington Post.
Frank Sinatra
Francis Albert Sinatra was an American actor, singer, and producer who was one of the most popular and influential musical artists of the 20th century. He has sold more than 150 million records worldwide and is one of the best-selling music artists of all the time. Who will not agree that Frank Sinatra’s music is immortal? What about his will? His funerals were standard. Words were spoken by family. There were plenty of photographers and onlookers. But the strange thing was that his pals gave him an Egyptian king-like sendoff. His friends tucked a bottle of whiskey, a Zippo lighter, and ten dimes into the casket for their pal’s use in the afterlife. Who knows what afterlife plans have had the legendary singer.
Michael Jackson
Michael Joseph Jackson was an American dancer, actor-singer, songwriter, record producer, and philanthropist. He was a global figure in popular culture for over four decades. The king of pop was one of the richest celebrities. Michael Jackson had $235 million to pass on to his relatives. He left behind three minor children and, fortunately for them, an estate plan including a Last Will and Testament. He gave his mom $1,000 per month for personal grooming! Strange though.
Jim Henson
James Maury Henson was an American inventor, artist, cartoonist, screenwriter, film director, and producer. He achieved international fame, as the creator of the Muppets. His funerals was another strange one. It was colored by Muppet performances some of them singing some of them dancing as well. Big Bird danced in the famous New York City cathedral that housed his memorial service. Henson left specific instructions regarding his funerals. No black clothing. He also designed a booklet with two various texts to be distributed at his service. One read:”Please watch out for each other and love and forgive everybody. It is a good life, enjoy it. The other read: “It feels strange writing this kind of thing while I’m still alive, but it wouldn’t be easy to do after I go.”
Some celebrity wills are really too weird but in the end, we are all human beings with our strangeness and crazy ideas. You must not always try to stay ordinary or standard. It is ok to have sometimes crazy and unique ideas. It would be great though to try to help people in need with those ideas of yours. The world would be even more wonderful when each of us tried to think a little about others also. Stay positive and good luck.
